"TV Remote" Has a Whole New Meaning

So, you’ve exhausted your options on Netflix. And Hulu. And Prime Video. What’s a binge watcher to do? Luckily, some TV showrunners are working around the pandemic to bring your favorite characters back to your screens.

Many TV show casts have reunited to raise money and boost morale during this time. The cast of Parks and Recreation reunited for a Parks and Recreation Special last month to raise money for Feeding America. Take it from us, it’s *literally* a delight. Meanwhile, the cast of Community, including its breakout star, actor/rapper/generally talented guy Donald Glover, did a table read of a Season 5 episode. (It’s not six seasons and a movie, but we’ll take what we can get.)

Meanwhile, some current TV shows are making all-new episodes while in quarantine. The most recent is Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet’s quarantine episode, which came out last Friday. Many publications have praised how seamlessly it blends in with its first season, while also staying topical and addressing the mental toll quarantine is taking on us. We couldn’t agree more. Plus, we’re big fans of anything with a Rube Goldberg machine.
